I am a yogi who loves traveling and hiking around the world. I grew up in France with a passion for volcanoes since my childhood. As a child, my favorite book was about volcanoes and the human body. I was inspired by the great French volcanologists Katia and Maurice Kraft and J.M. Bardintzeff while reading their books and watching TV shows from J.J. Cousteau. My grandfather was born in Reunion Island, and was a crocodile hunter in Madagascar. While visiting La Soufriere volcano for the first time, I collected volcanic rocks and olivine beach sand long before becoming an Earth scientist. My passion for Earth Sciences, volcanoes and the oceans has led me to discover beautiful places all around the world, including a trip in a submersible (Shinkai 6500) in the Mariana. I enjoy discussing and teaching about my passion whenever I can. Working on Reunion Island and Hawaii lavas has been in my mind for a long while, and I always look foward to developing new ideas and new collaborations.
